It’s flipping hot.

It was in the mid 80’s here today! It’s Feb for goodness sake. I’m sitting here thinking I should put the air on. I won’t cause that’s stupid, but I want to.

I got off my ass and joined the gym today. I feel pretty good. I’m sure tomorrow I won’t be able to walk, but of well.

I think I may go paint my nails. I’ve been saying that for a few weeks, yet never seem to get around to it.

Friday and Saturday I had 2 craptastic nights at work. Saturday night I was so mad/upset/tired I was done with it. I had decided I was going to call in sick Sunday to save my sanity. That or quit all together. As Saturday night went on, things got a little better but I was still upset and thinking about calling in the next night.

Sunday morning I got home and we went to church. We get to church and the service is about jobs. One part of the sermon was about not complaining about your job and just be happy you have a job in todays economy.

So how can I argue with that? I’m upset and a step away from wanting to quit my job and I go to church and am told to stop bitching, LOL. I decided to suck it up and go to work that next night. It was a great night. Nothing I could even complain about, and I can find something to complain about all the time.

So there you have it. God told me to STFU and go to work. So I did.

I was inspired by an online friend. She went to the Coach outlet and got a really cute purse. So of course I had to get in the car the next day and see what I could find. And this beauty was begging me to take her home.

I then went to the Dooney outlet. I have been coveting the Hayden bag in red patent leather forever. So I got a little gitty when I walked in the store and the woman tells me all their patent leather is 60% off AND the Hayden purse is on sale since they are doing away with that line. But they only had the Hayden in fug suede and they didn’t have any patent leather in red. I was quite bummed about that.

Another well job done husband

This morning Thing 1 came up to me and told me he wanted to sing me a song. Cute, huh? So in that split second while I am waiting for him to sing, I wonder what it will be. He’s been singing a lot of songs he’s learned at church latetly. Will  it be one of those. Then my questions are answered. He starts to sing:

I’m Rob Base and I came to get down
I’m not internationally known
But I’m known to rock the microphone
Because I get stoopid, I mean outrageous
Stay away from me if you’re contagious

Yes, my husband has taught my 4 year old to sing “It takes two”.

That will go over well at PTA meetings next year.

I hate being wrong

It rarely happens, but when it does it pisses me off. Last night someone at work told be that my patient would go into another cardiac rhythm within the hour. I told him he was full of shit. Within the hour, damn if he didn’t convert! ARGH! I hate that!

The only thing that makes it better it that I got to do chest compressions this weekend. It’s been years since I got to do compressions. I always seem to end up as the one recording the events. But this time I was the 1st in the room so I lucked out!

And I’m pretty sure my CPR acted as a precordial thump because I knocked that bitch into a better rhythm without having to shock him! Booyah! I guess I don’t even know my own strength.
But I still hate being wrong.

Where is Raphael’s trick?

Thing 1 got a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle 2 years ago. He never really played with it. Now, he’s started to play with it.

This morning we were eating breakfast. Thing 1 was eating Trix cereal. He;s become real interested in if the dog can eat this or that lately. So he asked if the dog could eat Trix. I told him he could have one so he went to give the dog a Trix.

When he sat back down, his TMNT was at the table. He looked at him and used this “Raphael voice” and said “hey, where’s my trick” then he gave Raphael a “trick”.

It just made me LOL hearing a toy turtle ask where his “trick” was. I guess trick is the singular for Trix, LMAO

The hubby just got pwned!

Thing 1 just whooped his rear in Wii Fit Tight Rope!

Let me explain why I am so excited. Thing 1 and I play the Wii for fun. The hubby plays the Wii to beat all my scores. End of story. Last week he says to me “Have you played the Wii?”. I tell him I haven’t, but ask why he wants to know. “Oh, just take a look at all your high scores” he says with a snicker and walks away.

So now our 4 year old has schooled his ass! I can’t wait for him to see it, LOL
