Oh my flippin Bob!

I’m pretty sure I bitched about my car battery being dead yesterday, right?

Well, last night we go out to dinner before the BCS Championship game. We get home and I go to change Thing 2. When I’m done I notice the hubby is MIA. I look in the garage and he’s out getting ready to jump start the van.

I plop Thing 2 down in the living room and go to watch the hubby. Why? You’ll see why he needs supervision in a minute.

He hooks up the cables and gets in his car to start the car. It’s at this moment that I yell “Hey! Your car is smoking!!” followed by “my car is smoking!!!” and more yelling. The hubby gets out, yanks the cables off the cars, and fans away the smoke.

Now it’s time for me to step in. I ask “are you sure you attached them right”. I check the batteries. Nope. He had the + going to the -. Nice!

We get it fixed and get the van started. I go back inside. When the hubby comes in he tells me there is a light on in the car and the manual says we need to take it in to the shop when it comes on.

I decided to go out and drive the car around the block to make sure it works. I back out of the garage and stop at the very end of the driveway. I see a car coming way down the road, but to be safe I decide to wait till he passes before I back out more. While I’m sitting there I wonder if my tail end is on the road, so I decided to pull forward just a tad. I put it and drive…. and just sit there!

The van will not move. I am finally able to get it to move 4 feet in low gear. I go in and tell the hubby. I go upstairs to google the crap put of this. One guy says he did the same thing and it blew a fuse.

At halftime we go outside. Check the fuse box. Guess what! It’s a blown fuse! Thank the Lord! He didn’t kill my van!!

So what have we learned? Don’t let the hubby near mechanical objects and that the Florida Gators freaking ROCK!!!

GO GATORS!!!!!!
